    15 hours per week for 36 weeks.
     
    What does it include?
    Three core units:

    -Applied Science and Mathematics for Technicians
    -Working Practices
    -Electronic Fundamentals
    -
    And three specialist units:
    -PC Configuration Fundamentals
    -Introduction to Digital Networks
    -Electronic Circuit Construction and Testing
     
    Students are also offered Basic Skills Level 2 in Communication, Numeracy and IT.
     
    How will I be assessed?
    Units are assessed through assignments and formal tests and graded and an overall grade for the qualification is awarded.
     
    What do I need to get on to it?

    You will normally need one of the following:
    -A GNVQ Foundation in Engineering
    -Appropriate GCSEs (normally at least four passes at grade D or above) including Science, Mathematics and English
    -Appropriate knowledge and/or experienced gained in employment
