    Who is this course for? For people aged 16-18 who want to develop creative skills and train for employment or go on to higher education in art and design. It is aimed at people who are creative, motivated, visually aware and keen to pursue education and a career in art and/or design.     What is this course about?
    This course will help you explore new skills in a number of specialist techniques and approaches in art and design. You will develop your creative potential, improve your understanding of visual language, and experience the growth of your own personal style.

    What will I study?
    You follow a broad program of visual communication, both 2D and 3D:

        * Drawing
        * Painting
        * Printmaking
        * Sculpture
        * Digital design
        * Textiles
        * Historical and contextual studies
        * Photography
        * Graphic Design.

    Day to day you will engage in practical workshops, lectures, debates, gallery visits and independent research.

    BTEC National Diploma in Art and Design

    What can I do after the course?
    On completion, you can study our Diploma in Foundation Studies (Art and Design). You may also be eligible to go directly on to other degree, Foundation Degree or Higher National Diploma courses at university or College.
