  • Course description

UK Open Learning's  IT's Cisco Certified Network Associate CCNA training course provides students with the knowledge and skills that are needed to install, configure, operate, and troubleshoot medium-size routed and switched networks, including implementation and verification of connections to remote sites in a WAN. The CCNA training course curriculum includes basic mitigation of security threats, introduction to wireless networking concepts and terminology, and performance-based skills.

The curriculum also includes the use of these protocols: IP, Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP), Serial Line Interface Protocol Frame Relay, Routing Information Protocol Version 2 (RIPv2),VLANs, Ethernet, and Access Control Lists (ACLs).

The Cisco CCNA certification exam will test materials from the new Interconnecting Cisco Network Devices (ICND) courses Part 1 640-822 and 640-816 Part 2, both included in the ReTrain for IT training course module.   ReTrain for IT is so certain our CCNA course meets and exceeds the exam objectives, we guarantee you will pass your exam!

To enhance our CCNA training course curriculum, ReTrain for IT has partnered with RouterSim to add an additional lab resource for clients.  RouterSim's CCNA™ Network Visualizer® 6.0 is a CCNA router and network simulator that allows you to design, build and configure your own network. This excellent tool for CCNA exam preparation is available with our CCNA training packages at an extra cost.
