  • Course description
        The (ICA) Intermediate Construction Award is the equivalent of an NVQ Level 2. This qualification requires no work based evidence. All units are transferable to NVQ units should the learner find relevant employment within the industry.

        These are practical courses which builds on the skills attained from the Foundation course and teaches either advanced brickwork skills or carpentry skills in Bench Joinery as well as organisational skills.

    Course Structure:
        Mainly practical with some classroom theory.

    Course resources:
        There are two well equipped specialist carpentry workshops and two speciallist brickwork shops. All students have access to our fully equipped, state-of-the-art Learning Centres at 3 College Centres. This includes free Internet access.

    Assessment:

        Continuous practical assessment and on line CGLI tests
