Drawing on their long experience of supporting makers, expert tutors at the Crafts Council and Academy for Creative Enterprise have created the Contemporary Craft Enterprise Level 3 Diploma - to advise and steer you on the first steps to running professional and sustainable craft business. By the end of the Contemporary Craft Enterprise Diploma you will have created your own complete business strategy based on the best-practice learning from thousands of similar craft businesses, and will have a nationally recognised Level 3 Diploma.
Taught by professional makers and developed from the joint expertise of the Crafts Council and the Academy for Creative Enterprise, the course will cover everything from VAT returns to website development - all the real-life skills essential for managing a successful craft business.

The Crafts Council is the national development agency for contemporary craft. Their goal is to make the UK the best place to make, see, collect and learn about contemporary craft. They believe craft plays a dynamic and vigorous role in social, economic and cultural life. They have been supporting makers for over 40 years to develop and run successful craft practices, through a range of programmes and will be bringing their expertise, knowledge and networks to the delivery of this new diploma.
