    Entry Requirements -Successful applicants will be invited to an interview to assess whether they have an appropriate business or commercial dimension within their previous experience. -Applicants who do not have significant business and/or commercial experience will be expected to have a degree or equivalent at a minimum 2:1 level of award. -You may claim Accreditation of Prior Learning and Achievement (APLA) or Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL) which is equivalent to that arising from relevant modules of study. The School Accreditation and Validation Panel will consider each applicant individually to assess whether you have acquired the appropriate skills and knowledge for the course.

    Introduction

    The programme is an opportunity for energetic graduates to develop skills for micro-business, small-tomedium sized enterprises and larger corporate settings.

    Primarily intended for graduates in creative disciplines, the programme balances an understanding of marketing and management principles with an understanding of the challenges facing new and growing creative enterprise. We have developed the course over seven years and the part-time option makes it particularly attractive for graduates employed locally. This is an excellent opportunity to add an understanding of business to your existing creative or design qualifications.

    Design and Marketing Innovation

    Design and Management Processes

    Creative Business Project Plan

    You will need 60 credits for the award of Postgraduate Certificate in Design Management and Marketing.

    Year 2 part-time

    Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Action (15 credits)

    Creativity and Innovative Futures (15 credits)

    Innovation Workshops (15 credits)

    Design in the Retail Environment - option (15 credits)

    Managing Growth in Creative Enterprise - option (15 credits)

    Global Consumerism and Behaviour (15 credits)

    You will need 120 credits for the award of Postgraduate Diploma in Design Management and Marketing.

    Year 3 part-time

    Major Project: Design Management and Marketing in the Creative Economy (60 credits)

    You will need 180 credits for the award of MA in Design Management and Marketing.
