  • Course description

    This course has been developed to provide you with all the essential knowledge and skills in order to plan, execute and monitor effective digital marketing campaigns.

    Whether you are from a marketing background or someone with an interest in marketing and digital marketing, your tutor Zhara Woods, will encourage and build your confidence talking and using the channels that are taught on the course.

    In this 10 week course you will develop from scratch, an initial idea for a website or online business through the stages needed to give the greatest chance of success.

    The main topics covered are:

    • Online marketing research and personal modeling
    • Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)
    • How to plan a new website build
    • Creation of content and simple wireframes
    • Build of website
    • Web Analytics
    • Setting up of paid search and social campaigns
    • Social and content marketing
    • Email marketing

    Each session consists of three parts.

    Theory – The topic and best practice principles are discussed.

    Demonstration – A task is set for the session and shown how to be completed.

    Practical - The students are expected, with support from the tutor, to build a paid search campaign, email marketing send or whatever that week’s topic is.

    The goal of this course is to get the student to have hands-on experience in the major areas of digital marketing. At the end of the course each student will have a project that they can continue to market if they desire and also have had actual experience working with each of the above channels, which they can apply, to other projects in the future.
