This course is for women who are returning to study with a view to taking an academic course or other vocational courses in order to enhance employment prospects. The course covers a mixture of English, maths and information technology (IT). English includes reading, comprehension, study skills, spelling, grammar, punctuation, reference skills, oral communication and personal and formal writing. Maths includes addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, decimals, simple fractions, measurement, using the twenty-four hour clock and reading and drawing graphs. IT includes using the keyboard and word processing and using the internet.
