    Entry Requirements A degree plus relevant recent experience of health or social care in the public, private or voluntary sectors. Applicants with relevant experience who do not hold a degree or equivalent qualification may be required to undertake preparatory work to demonstrate their ability to study at postgraduate level and may be registered for the PgCert in the first instance.

    The boundaries between health and social care are becoming increasingly blurred and present UK government policy aims to create seamless services. In order to address these developments, organisational processes are changing across the health and social care fields.

    This specialist course will meet the needs of health and social care professionals and those from similar backgrounds seeking to address these issues in a rapidly changing environment and confront the challenges of current professional practice and political agendas.

    The course offers the opportunity to engage in reflective practice to build on knowledge and transferable skills in this new environment. The present active policy agenda demands that the content of the course is continually updated to address current critical issues and the needs of individual students.

    Risk Policy and Legislation in Health, Social Care and Criminal Justice

    Risk Assessment and Decision Making

    These specialist route modules are taught by a combination of e-learning and tutorial, with minimum teaching input.
