    This programme provides experienced teachers with the opportunity to study in depth the processes of teaching and learning. By the end of this programme you will be able to engage in informed, sustained and integrated change-focused action, based on sound theoretical principles within the context of a community of practice, critical enquiry and evaluation.

    Content

    Core courses

        * Professional development: review, enquiry and reflection
        * Teaching and learning
        * Education for all
        * Working together.

    You will take four options from a selection which may include

        * Dealing with disaffected young people
        * Ethnic diversity and education: from a global perspective
        * Emotional intelligence and emotional literacy
        * Approaches to mentoring
        * Creativity
        * Religious and moral education.

    Plus a project equivalent to four courses taken through work-based research activity.

    Accreditation for prior learning is also available.
