  • Objectives
    The MMus programme enables you to develop further various specialist skills learnt at undergraduate level. Applicants should note that there are opportunities within these specialisms to develop skills in community music.
  • Entry requirements
    Applicants should normally have a first degree in music with first or upper second class Honours. Exceptionally, alternative musical qualifications will be considered. You are welcome to contact the Music Admissions Tutor in advance of the application to check the suitability of your chosen subject area. On application, you should submit relevant supporting materials:a demonstration tape/CD/video of a recent performance for the MMus in Performance; sample compositions for the MMus in Composition.

    Programme Structure
    You will complete modules worth a total of 180 credits. During the first two semesters you will take 2 core modules (a total of 40 credits) and 2 optional modules for each semester (a total of 80 credits). The special study (60 credits) is completed during the final semester.
