Objectives
You’ll extend your knowledge to a specialist level and develop advanced clinical decision-making skills, high levels of autonomy and critical evaluation of evidence-based practice within neurological rehabilitation.
Entry requirements
Applicants will normally be postgraduate physiotherapists and occupational therapists with a minimum 2.2 degree, who are registered with the Health Professions Council, with experience in practice and who are currently working in the field of neurological rehabilitation. Students may be exempted/APL up to 60 M level credits from specialised clinical practice modules studied elsewhere in the UK, which meet the specialist modules learning outcomes.

Course description
MSc Advanced Clinical Practice (Rehabilitation in Neurological Practice)
The course is aimed at postgraduate physiotherapists and occupational therapists with a specialist interest in and experience of the fields of paediatric and adult neurological rehabilitation. It will enable you to apply new knowledge and evidence to practice and develop further the evidence base and quality of rehabilitation services for clients with neurological dysfunction. Key features of the course are inter-professional collaboration, user involvement and flexible study.
Course structure
Core modules focus on evidence-based practice and research. Three specialist modules will explore and address diverse clinical and practice issues in neurological rehabilitation and a further option module will allow you to choose an area of special interest and of particular relevance to the context in which you are working.

This course enhances your ability to secure employment as an advanced practitioner/extended scope practitioner or other roles which specialise in advanced clinical management of clients with neurological impairment.
