    Preferably a UK 2:1 honours degree, or its equivalent if outside the UK, or an equivalent qualification in any subject. Applicants holding a UK 2:2 honours degree, or its equivalent from outside the UK, may also be considered. No work experience is required. For students from non-English speaking countries, there will be an English-language requirement. A Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of 600 (250+ computer based) or International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of 7 is required.

    In collaboration between the University's world-renowned School of GeoSciences and Management School & Economics, the MSc in Carbon Management provides high-level interdisciplinary skills and training in the business, economics and science of carbon management. It is designed for graduates wanting an advanced academic qualification as a launch pad for careers in carbon and climate change management by business, industry and government.

    Learning Outcomes

        * Integration of expertise in business and economics research with that in global carbon cycling, climate change impacts, adaptation and mitigation to provide graduates with an holistic understanding of carbon management.
        * Development of conceptual and analytical skills to enable critical evaluation of projected climate change impacts on businesses and consumers.
        * Assessment of the policies at international, national and local level devised to address the impacts of climate change either through adaptation or mitigation.
        * Development of key professional skills, expertise in carbon markets and climate change mitigation mechanisms.
        * Strong ties to industry and big business, with excellent employment prospects for graduates of the programme.

    How You Will Be Taught

    This is a full time (12 months) or part time (24 months) taught MSc, with assessment by course assignments, written examinations and research dissertation
