    Opportunities to study abroad

    The course consists of six taught modules (three in conservation and three in GIS). An MSc project (triple module) allows students to enhance knowledge and skills developed in the taught component.

    Course Content

    Compulsory Taught Modules:

        * Spatial Data Acquisition and Remote Sensing
        * Principles of GIS
        * Web-based GIS
        * Conservation Biology
        * Environmental Modelling for Conservation

    Options (choose one from the following):

        * Terrestrial Conservation
        * Maritime Environments
        * Freshwater Conservation
        * Tropical Environmental Field Ecology
        * Physical Applications in GIS
        * Masters Project

    How To Study

    A combination of lectures and tutorials, with particular emphasis on fieldwork and practicals. The triple module dissertation runs from June to October. You will be assessed by a combination of practical write-ups, continuous assessment and examinations.
