To familiarise students with a range of analytical approaches in clinical linguistics and phonetics. To develop research and communicative skills.     Core modules:

    -Current Research in Human Communication Sciences
    -Research Methods and Design
    -Methods in Clinical Linguistics
    -Critical Analysis
    -Professional Research Skills
    -ICT applications in HCS
    -Research Project

    Plus option modules to the value of 30 credits.

    -computer assisted learning.

    Mostly by coursework exercises while the module is in progress, and/or an assignment, such as an essay, short project or oral presentation at the end of the module. Research Project: 15,000-word dissertation.
