  MSc: 12 months full time; 24 months part-time
  
  This programme provides you with a broad and rigorous grounding in the study and methodologies of international politics.
  
  Two of the compulsory courses survey the major theoretical approaches to the key empirical and normative problems central to the study of international politics. The other two compulsory courses explore the techniques and methods of data analysis and research design. The other remaining components are drawn from the extensive list of specialist courses available in the department's other Masters' programmes and students, with permission, will be able to take a course offered elsewhere in the faculty. The dissertation will be a focused piece of work that permits you to develop your own ideas and demonstrate your capacity for original thought.
