Take your marketing career to the next level
The course is kept constantly updated and relevant to the latest developments in business practice. It will help you to develop a comprehensive grounding in:
-Planning, strategy development and implementation
-Analysis of customers, markets and industry
-Research, investigations and data analysis
For both routes, you'll take five core modules:
-Business Information for Marketing
You'll also be able to choose three additional subjects from the option modules*, allowing you to specialise in areas relevant to your chosen career path:
-Market Research Applications
-Customer Relationship Management
* The availability of option modules is subject to demand.
In addition to these modules, your dissertation gives you the chance to research an area of marketing of particular interest to you and of relevance to your career or company.
Teaching and learning
You'll learn though formal classes and seminar sessions, as well as through group work and independent study. The work will include assignments, exercises, case studies and presentations with an emphasis on independent learning to develop your problem solving skills.
If you opt for the full-time course, you'll attend the Business School for one year.
The part-time route lets you fit study around work and family commitments. It usually runs over three years, during which you will attend four-day workshops, run four times a year, along with your own independent study. You'll also need to attend exams for some of the modules. The third year is devoted to your dissertation.
Assessment is through supervised mini-projects, presentations, time-constrained assignments and examinations.
