Course structure emphasises skills required by economists in financial institutions. Optional modules allow you to develop your own interests.

    Entry requirements Upper second-class honours degree or better from a UK university, or equivalent overseas qualification, or approved professional qualification. If you have other qualifications please contact the Postgraduate Secretary for advice. A background in economics is essential. Our standard English requirements for overseas applicants are: IELTS 6.5 (with no less than 5 in each part), or TOEFL 575 with TWE 4.5 (paper based) or TOEFL 232 (computer based) or TOEFL 90 (internet-based) or equivalent.

    Teaching
    Computer practicals, lectures, seminars, tutorials and workshops.

    Assessment
    Coursework (including essays and project-work) and examination. You must pass the taught stage to proceed to the dissertation
