    MVPH: 12 months minimum; 36 months maximum

    This taught programme comprises six courses and a final dissertation. Each course comprises a one-week intensive residential course, followed by a distance education component. Residential taught courses are offered in three blocks of two, so that you are only required to be resident in Glasgow for three two-week periods during the programme. The remainder of the programme is completed by distance education. All courses and assignment work will be taught and assessed by members of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine with additional input from colleagues at Glasgow Metropolitan College.

        * Human-animal interaction and animal production systems and veterinary public health
        * Microbiological, parasitic and other hazards in veterinary public health
        * Epidemiology and quantitative issues in veterinary public health
        * Meat hygiene in veterinary public health
        * The consumer: food technology and veterinary public health
        * Human and animal public health
        * Dissertation in veterinary public health (10,000 words) which will be completed as the last part of the programme.
