Objectives
Entry requirements A degree in Archaeology or cognate subjects with appropriate archaeological content of recognised universities or colleges, or equivalent academic or professional qualifications. Applications will be considered from those who do not have a degree but have at least three years’ professional experience.

Course modules
The following Postgraduate Certificates are available:
-Landscape Archaeology
-Planning and Management of Archaeological Projects
-Archaeology of Standing Buildings
-Interpretation and Presentation of the Archaeological Heritage
-Classical Landscapes
To obtain a Postgraduate Certificate, students must satisfactorily complete the module in the relevant subject area and undertake a mini-dissertation related to the subject of the module.
Teaching and assessment methods
The course is taught entirely by distance learning. Each module is assessed by two assignments which test a range of skills. Students must satisfactorily complete the module before being allowed to proceed to the 7,000 word mini-dissertation
