This is an entry level course where you will study the skills to qualify you as a Secretary or Administrator. You will learn keyboarding, WP and other IT skills. In addition you will learn, through practice, the correct way to write business correspondence and how the modern office is run. You will take level 1 examinations at the end of the course. You do not need any formal qualifications, but you will need to attend an interview/assessment
What does the course lead to?
Students have gone on to successful careers as Secretaries and Administrators. Students can also progress onto the new Diploma in Business and Administration at Level 2.
What does the course involve?
You will gain a basic understanding of Keyboarding, Word Processing and Spreadsheets, Business English and Office Procedures and will be required to complete the following qualifications at Level 1:
City and Guilds – Office Procedure sOCR New CLAiT 2006 - Word Processing, Spreadsheets, Power Point.You will also receive support in creating a CV and preparing for interviews.
