    An Introduction to the Apple iPad for the creative individual or School/College Lecturer, working within the iOS and OSX Platforms 

    Do you have an Apple iPad, and want to learn more about it, moving beyond a basic level of media communication? From leisure to professional applications, we are now offering you the opportunity to learn about the iOS and OSX Platforms so you can fully integrate and unlock the creative potential of your iPad.

    With the popularity of Apple iPad becoming more commonly used for both recreation and professional applications without loss of quality, there is an increasing demand for exploring the potential of this device. The key to this is an understanding of the iOSX and OSX operating system that will enable you to connect your devices to create and customise a digital hub to enhance your professional work/lifestyle.

    During the 10-week evening course, your tutor will introduce you to the creative and organisational possibilities of the iPad. This will include integration to Cloud storage and processing, tailoring your device to your personal needs.

    Areas indicative of the short course
    • Connectivity between devices, user interface, online security, using the Apple Mail app and Cloud storage.
    • Introduction to research through the web, using the Safari application.
    • Management of still images and video files.
    • Introduction to common iOSX applications: Pages and Keynote.
    • Creating presentations and portfolios for educational and business applications. using interactive pdfs, iBooks Author, Prezi, and Photoshop Touch Apps.
    Course takes place on 10 Wednesday evenings, 6-9pm
    Booking opens 13th June for the autumn term commencing 3rd October
