BA Digital Media

  • Objectives Over the last two decades the media industries have been transformed. Todays media are characterised by complex interplays between new media such as interactive television, the web, computer games and mobile communications as well as older technologies such as print media and cinema. These developments have led to many exciting roles within new media, from digital designers, writers and developers to account managers and producers. This course exposes you to the practical aspects of new media design, production, management. Your skills in digital imaging, 3D graphics, web design, digital video and scripting are developed alongside an exposure to ethical, political, economic, cultural and creative debates, culminating in a personal portfolio of work.
  • Entry requirements You should have at least 200 points, including two or more A-levels. English Language GCSE at grade C or above (or equivalent) is also required. These requirements may be varied in individual cases.

    For Single Honours you take eight modules at each of three levels. Joint Honours involves four modules from each level in Digital Media, plus four from your other subject.
