    Content details
    This is the last year at college for those completing their last of the technical certificate. The content of this certificate is Electrical Science, Inspection, Testing and Commissioning; Fault Finding Diagnostic and Ratification.

    How is the course taught
    This part of the course is theory based with little practical involved. Although, theory sessions will take place in the workshop. It will cover aspects of the 17th Edition Wiring Regulations and Inspection, testing and commissioning, electrical science to technician level.

    Assessment
    The course is assessed through course work and six week block assessments, written and practical assignments; written exam; computer based multiple choice exam.

    Course leads to
    Progression is to the NVQ Level 3 qualification and AM2 test to complete the Apprenticeship Framework.

    Employers Benefit
    Will be competent at level 2 and should be able to complete own work tasks without hands on supervision. Will be able to complete the Inspection, Testing and Commissioning tasks.
