    Programme

The course combines the opportunities for the subject to be studied in either men’s and / or women’s tailoring. The first year introduces you to the skills required for bespoke tailoring and sets out to encourage the development of the technical areas. This is underpinned by an understanding of the principles of cut and construction. You are encouraged to develop an enquiring approach to the technical development of bespoke garments. The subject areas of cutting and design are integrated to focus on the importance of cut in defining classic tailoring.

In your second year you will broaden your knowledge of the subject area and develop a more personalised skills portfolio. The College benefits from a close relationship with Savile Row and fine tailoring in London and will enable you to participate in a period (one term) in the bespoke tailoring environment. The emphasis of the third year is on self directed study culminating in the production of a body of work to a highly professional standard. You will continue to develop your professional portfolio.
