  • Course description
Businesses around the world are constantly developing and implementing information systems to achieve operational goals. These businesses rely on computing professionals who can combine business and technological skills to meet objectives that increase profits and overall business growth. In this course, you will learn how to integrate computing technology into organisational processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness. You will explore how to understand the technological needs of customers and users within businesses, which together with your technical skills will ensure you can play a vital role in the future success of any business. In addition to core computing skills, through studying this course, you will learn how to build technical solutions and manage IT processes in businesses settings. With organisations always wanting to be at the forefront of an evolving business landscape, your knowledge of business information technology after completing this course will be in high demand for prospective employers with roles such as business analyst, business intelligence developer and IT consultant. This is one of eight undergraduate computing courses we offer at BU. As we understand that it can be difficult to know what area you’d like to specialise in, all of these courses share a common first year, giving you the time to really explore the subject before deciding on a specialism. You only need to apply for one of the courses in the framework and you will have the opportunity to change your final degree title during your study with us.
