    2 Weeks – 1 evening per week.

    What does it include?
    This short course introduces you to the world of RAW files. It is designed for both professionals and
    disconcerting amateur photographers wishing to learn how to manipulate RAW files using Adobe Camera RAW CS2 software.

    The course includes:
    - Theory on how digital cameras work
    - How to get the best from digital cameras when shooting RAW format
    - Theory on what are RAW files, why they are the choice of professional photographers and why they are better than shooting Tiff or Jpeg for most situations
    - How RAW files fit into the Colour Management workflow
    - Demonstrations and lots of practice using Adobe Camera Raw software

    What do I need to get onto it?
    It is recommended that attendees have a reasonable knowledge of Photoshop but will not need any prior knowledge of Adobe Camera RAW. It is highly recommended that attendees have access to Photoshop CS (or later) plus a digital camera capable of shooting in RAW format.

    Where does it lead?
    Successful completion of this course will gain a College certificate. This could be useful for progression onto other photography courses and inclusion in a CV.
