    Programme

    This course is offered jointly with the University of Trento (Italy) and RWTH Aachen (Germany) within the framework of the Erasmus Mundus programme. It is designed to encourage and provide support for students from outside the European Union to study in European universities.

    Graduates are awarded a double MSc, one from each of the two participating universities.

    The objective of the masters programme is to educate professionals who will understand advanced techniques, tools and methodologies in the field of informatics, and who will be able to put this knowledge into practice in the key application domains of Net-Centric Informatics, Life Science Informatics and Embedded Systems Informatics.

    How You Will Be Taught

    The degree spans a full 24-month period, is modular in structure, and consists of lecture-based teaching which is assessed by examination. This is followed by a major individual project in a chosen area of specialisation, on which a dissertation is written.

    Students visit two of the participating universities, taking courses focusing on advanced topics in theoretical and practical computer science and on the selected area of specialism. Courses are taught in English and are structured according to the European Credit Transfer system.
