    Programme

    FdSc Digital Video and Broadcast Production offers students the opportunity to develop understanding, ability and the practical experience necessary to enter media related industries with a particular emphasis on digital video and broadcast production.

    The Foundation Degree has been designed to provide extensive opportunities for hands-on work, with a particular feature of this programme involving the development of digital video productions. Combined with an understanding of the technological principles, this programme equips students to enter the rapidly changing world of digital video and broadcast technology.

    Four modules are studied in both Year One and Year Two, categorised into four main themes. The 'multimedia and Internet' theme focuses on multimedia production and the huge diversity of topics surrounding the Internet. The 'technology' theme provides the technical spine for the programme and incorporates a variety of technological and mathematical principles and techniques necessary for the study of media production. The 'video practice' theme looks at a range of practical issues associated with the development of moving images. The 'video production' theme looks at a range of production and contextual issues associated with moving images.
