  • Objectives
    The aim of this programme is to provide a hands-on experience in fine art primarily to satisfy a personal need to explore and find expression through fine art media. The programme also enables students to further personal development, to provide an opportunity to continue study and to further develop career potential. Students will develop their skills using media appropriate to the content and context of their work.
  • Entry requirements
    Entry requirements HND in fine art or a closely related discipline. This should have been completed with a profile of at least six grades at Merit or above, one of which must be an essay at HE Level 2. Accepted applicants are required to complete a short “Bridging” programme run by the university. This will take place in June prior to the commencement of the programme

    Fine Art, BA Hons (top-up)
  • Course description
    The BA Hons top-up is designed for students who have successfully completed an HND programme in fine art or a related discipline. It provides the opportunity to obtain a full honours degree in fine art.

        * Painting
        * Digital Image Manipulation
        * Photography

    Coursework and dissertation

    Career options

    Media specific artists or careers such as curating, gallery management and teaching. Alternatively, further study to Master's degree level
