    To develop critical understanding of research, policies and practice relating to education in general and secondary education in particular To facilitate a developmental approach to your professional practice through advanced scholarship and application of transferable skills of analysis and reflection To develop understanding of the relationship between research and practice, and develop your ability to conduct rigorous classroom-based research.
  • Entry requirements
    Entry requirements Degree or equivalent in a teaching subject (see below) or with a strong element of a teaching subject. Grade C or above at GCSE or equivalent in English Language and Mathematics. Our standard English requirements for overseas applicants are: IELTS 6.5 (with no less than 5.5 in each part), or TOEFL 575 with TWE 4 or above(paper-based), or TOEFL 234, TWE 4 or above (computer based) or equivalent.

    Masters credits and opportunities for Continuing Professional Development
    In addition to a PGCE qualification and Qualified Teacher Status, students who successfully complete the course will leave with 60 Masters credits. You can later build on these to achieve an MA in Applied Professional Studies in Education.
