    Content details
    This part-time programme is an introduction to the basic practical skills and underpinning theories that are required as a starting point to teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector. Successful completion of this qualification will enable you to progress on to other awards leading to Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) The qualification is designed to enable learners to adopt an integrated approach to the theory and practice of teaching, reflect on your own previous/current levels of experience, practice and skills, identify principles of learning, teaching, assessment and evaluation, develop communication and interpersonal skills and develop an awareness of the professional role and responsibilities.

    How is the course taught
    You will be taught in a variety of ways, using group work, lectures, practical sessions and presentations.

    Assessment
    You are assessed through course work, assignments and micro teaching.

    Course leads to
    You will be able to progress onto the Certificate to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (CTLLS).
