    Sports and Exercise Environmental Physiology examines the mechanisms by which the body is able to adapt, regulate and survive in extreme adverse conditions e.g. heat, altitude and cold.

    At Kingston University we believe that theoretical knowledge should be underpinned by a strong practical component and therefore students are encouraged to gain experience in the laboratory and in the field where appropriate via both structured and independent sessions. This course is designed to appeal to students who have an interest in applied human physiology and exercise physiology.

    Students will have the opportunity to explore the physiological and psychological aspects of exercising in extreme conditions as well as the potential physical dangers presented by these conditions.
