  • Objectives Improving the quality of mathematics teaching and learning is a national priority, and current initiatives are placing mathematics as a key feature in continuing professional development both for primary and secondary teachers. This course will allow you to enage with current issues, debates and practices associated with the teaching of mathematics, and enables you to connect with others in similar situations.

  • Course description What will you study?
    You will develop your teaching skills, enabling you to promote a better understanding of mathematics within your students. You will explore topics such as data handling and modelling techniques, comparing standards and promoting reasoning. You will also look at ways to meet individuals’ needs. In addition you will explore ways of using ICT effectively for learning and teaching.
