  • Course description
This course is widely recognised as one of the best in the UK, thanks
to its global reputation within the hospitality industry. The
hospitality industry is about people. It’s about how they spend their
time and the sort of experiences they are looking for. They could be in a
holiday resort or their local pub, at a business conference, a charity
fundraising dinner or an international sporting event.
Taught by hospitality specialists who are actively involved in
research that informs the future of hospitality, with many also working
with businesses in the hospitality sector, the course has been designed
to equip you with a range of skills needed to get ahead in this
versatile and exciting sector. You’ll cover a combination of theoretical
and practical modules, as well as discovering the necessary skills to
put this knowledge to good use in real-world situations.
In your final year, you can specialise in a particular area of the
hospitality industry, after having learned the basics and gained
experience during your placement year. You'll also benefit from regular
guest lectures from industry professionals such as the Commercial
Director for Young & Co’s Brewery and Managing Director of Geronimo
Inns Limited as well as speakers from Ritz Carlton and Le Manoir aux
    Quats Saisons.
