For people who want to work with children and brush up their basic skills at the same time - particularly in written English and communication. The course includes: health and safety in the home and group settings, food and nutrition for children and their families, play and practical activities for working with children and an introduction to information technology, plus an extra day of learning support.
You should have some experience of working with groups of children.
Note:
Caring for children demands great sensitivity and compassion. We therefore seek mature candidates, and welcome members of both sexes, since men are under-represented in this area of work.
