  • Objectives
    Radio in the UK is a major growth industry. 91% of the adult population listen each week, served by eight national stations, 272 local commercial stations and 42 BBC local radio stations. Added to this, in one of the most exciting developments of recent years, a new platform of community stations are currently being launched.
  • Entry requirements
    For 2011: 120 points or equivalent qualification/experience. Level 3 advanced diploma in Creative & Media considered
    For 2012: 120 points from 2 A Levels including a Grade C in a relevant subject or an equivalent Level 3 qualification e.g. BTEC National Diploma or an Access to Higher Education Diploma.
  • Course description
    The Foundation degree in Radio Production, a partnership between education and industry, addresses the practical skills required to become a part of these developments.

    Preferred subjects:
    All subjects considered

    Recommended GCSEs:
    Minimum of 4 (grades A-C) including Maths and English or appropriate Key Skills Level 2

    If English is not your first language:
    IELTS 6.5 (Academic) or above.
