    Programme description
    - accredited by the IMechE, allowing students to gain Chartered Engineer status.
    - research-led individual project supervised by leading experts in their fields.
    - well-equipped computer rooms and laboratories.

    As a multidisciplinary activity dealing with the integration of mechanical devices, sensors, electronics and ‘intelligent’ computer-based controllers, the programme comprises a number of core mechatronic modules, including Robotic Systems; Sensors & Actuators; Embedded Microprocessors & Real- Time Systems; and Numerical Methods. The final part of the programme is an individual project closely linked with our department’s research activities.

    Programme format and assessment
    Teaching methods: lectures; tutorials, seminars. Assessment: coursework,written examinations, final project report. More information about our modules can be found online.

    Duration

    One year FT, two years PT, September to September or January to January.
